Easter fun and Dollar Store finds
I love creating my spring centers and I want to just share a few with you. The first one is to simply get some Easter eggs, mix up their colors, and write a two letter sight word on them. See the pic below.
Use a computer program to make an oval in one color and a semi-circle shape in the other color of the egg. Type in the letter, add a border and you're done. Place these cards on a ring, break all of your eggs apart, place in a cute Easter tin and let your students build their words. HERE are mine, that you're welcome to use!
Another fun center I added was this fun car Easter eggs I found at Dollar Tree. I wrote sight words on them and used our sensory table to hide them in crinkle cut paper Easter grass. I found my parking lot sight word game pages and placed it nearby for students to find the cars with those words and "park" them in the right spot. Get the Parking Lot page HERE!
One last center game.............If you own my spring bundle, then you have the base ten Easter eggs. I recently received some base ten stamps from a grant and decided these eggs would work great with the stamps and a recording sheet. I made a recording sheet and you can receive it HERE.
I also decided to do a freebie Friday and make a summer flip flop version of this game also. You can get that one HERE.

I did it! I've reached 300 followers on my TPT store! I remember just starting out and wondering if anyone would be interested in my products. It's been so much fun making things and knowing these products are in classrooms all over the country. I appreciate your business and hope that the products I make are engaging for your students and help save you time. To thank you for following me, I've made a packet of journal pages. I've created different pages that will grow with your students as they grow as writers. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy!

Plants and Insects
We've just finished our study on plants and insects. We began both with a schema chart. (I love doing these because it gives me guidance on what the majority of them already know.)
You see my sensory table became a "garden center" for a few weeks. It is full of insects and a butterfly matching game. The Easter grass was messy though!
I also hung up a couple different pocket charts. One is mainly for some vocabulary and the other is a word family sorting game. The butterfly cards have staples on them and I used my net from a puzzle I have to "catch" the butterflies. (The net has a magnet on the end.)
Thanks to my co-teacher for bringing me over some goodies for my kiddos to create and eat their own insects.
We planted our own seeds and made our sprout houses. (Free in my TPT store)
These are simply a few seeds of your choice and a paper towel in a zip-lock baggie. Make sure that when you wet the paper towel, you wring it out really well or you'll get too much moisture and moldy seeds. I speak from experience.
We labeled flowers and threw in an Earth Day project too!
Well, this is just a small portion of all the fun activities that we've been doing. Next up...........OCEAN!! Would you like a sample of my new ocean bundle?
Here's an "Add the Room" for you! Hang the cards around the room and your students will need to find the matching ocean animal to write and solve the addition problem on their recording sheet. I hope your kiddos enjoy it! Click on the pic.

Freebie Friday!
First, just a few random things that I love! This is the new bulletin board design made by my co-teacher. I love it!
Also, I wanted to share my new organizational tool for storing all a few of my zippered bad games and such. I love it! It's so handy to turn and grab an activity to work with my kiddos at my teacher table. As the year moves along, I'll just trade out the bags for some new ones. I used a small curtain rod, the large Command hooks, and medium sized binder rings. (I believe 1").
Now, on to my freebie! We have been doing DINOSAURS this week (which I also love)! Last year I made these for my freebie!
This year I made some cute little sight word dinosaurs that you clip clothespins on to spell the sight word. (They look really cool with their clothespin spikes!) I also made a few small letter sequence dinosaur puzzles. I hope you enjoy and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I LOVE spring time!
I would have to say that the last nine weeks is definitely my favorite time of the year. Not just because my students are at mastery level in many skills and WAY more independent (although this is still worth a HALLELUJAH!), but because I LOVE the spring themes that we teach. I begin April with weather and usually some Easter stuff. Then I cover plants, insects, dinosaurs, and ocean. That's really all that there is time for and that's cramming as much fun and educational stuff in as possible.
Have you guys seen these cute little carrot eggs at Dollar Tree? They are perfect for placing a picture card and letters in for building words.

This is just one of the games included in my Spring Bundle. There is a SMART board version of this also. The student clicks on a carrot to reveal the picture and using the "fridge magnets" to build the word.
This bundle can be found HERE!
I've also whipped up a freebie that you might enjoy! My students need some extra work on identifying middle vowel sounds, so why not make an Easter egg sort for this week. Click on the pic to get yours!

Freebie Friday!
Today's freebie are the cards that I've been using to get my students at my teacher table going while I get students settled in their centers for rotation. Print them on card stock and laminate to use with dry-erase markers. They're great practice for those who still struggle with letter formation, but also includes some higher level skills like beginning sounds and alphabetical sequence- filling in the missing letters. These are also great for fast finishers or a word work tub. Hope you can find some use for them. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Freebie Friday!
This Friday's freebie are objective headers for your classroom. I'm sure most of you are required to post the week's objectives on your board or somewhere. I put magnets on the back of mine and displayed on my front white board. It's quick and easy to just write or draw a visual of our weekly objectives. I hope you have some use for these and have a fabulous Friday!

Freebie Friday!
This freebie is going to be a little bit different. I presented a Smart board 101 training last Tuesday and I thought I'd share my hand-out (all visual steps) and my Smart board file that includes some examples of each game/activity taught. I know not everyone has a Smart board, but for those that do, I hope this helps provide the step-by-step directions one needs to begin creating your own games. (or at least enjoy the free games included as examples!) :)

Freebie Friday!
I just love Halloween time! Our class does our spider and bat unit and our focus shifts a bit more toward nonfiction. I thought it would be fun to put together a spider unit of games for centers, but also have a Smart Board component to introduce the games. This is one of the largest freebies that I've ever given away. You are all great customers and I thought you deserve a nice one this week ;) I hope you enjoy! Happy Friday!!! Please follow me for future freebies!

Freebie Friday!
Just a couple quick, but fun things for your freebie Friday. Print these pattern block pages as poster size and let them sort your pattern blocks on them.
Click on pic for yours!
The other freebie is what I've been using in my writing center. I assign them one writing page that they MUST complete and then some options that they MAY do afterwards.
