This was created using the Kindergarten Common Core State Standards, but would be great for enriched Pre-K or 1st grade Intervention.
Take the journey with me as I have finally graduated Kindergarten! (Took me 11 years) :)

Subitizing Dot Bowls
Why not practice subitizing and counting objects in one activity? I simply daubed round dot cards and taped them in the bottom of Styrofoam bowls. My students quickly recognize the dot pattern, say the amount, and then count out that many counters to place in the bowl. Super easy activity to put together and good practice for them.

Number Words
Created this little math activity to stick in a math tub. I need some ways to reinforce number words and the kiddos love using the clothespins and matching them to the numeral.

Daily Five
This is the first year that I've attempted to incorporate the Daily Five into my Kindergarten class. Boy howdy......does it ever take some patience on your part!! lol It probably doesn't help that I have 29 students in my class either! Well today we finally made it up to a solid three minutes of Read to Self. (It's day 12) I've also been slowly introducing some CAFE strategies. We did "Check for Understanding" earlier this week and I really played up the part of "Check-in Charlie" and how he will stop you occasionally because he needs you to check in with him. They loved their bookmarks and can easily recall this strategy!

My Teacher Stool
I found this old stool at a yard sale for $5.....bought some paint, stencil, and some BLING BLING.........and now I love it! Just a few pointers....Don't use spray paint with a stencil, use a paint brush specifically for stenciling. I used a black paint pen to basically draw all the areas where the paint did not go on right. I used super glue for the sequin rhinestone things and they seem to be on really good.
Scrunchy Border
So I really like how this border technique turned out! It was super easy to do. I cut strips of that colored butcher paper we all have down in the workroom into about 3 1/2 inch strips. (cut several strips together to save you time). Then I accordion folded the strips back and forth. (once again several strips together to save time). Next, you simply wad it up into balls (not crazy tight) and then open some to begin just stapling it on your board randomly, giving it some fullness.

Lesson Plans
Lesson plans done for the week. I just love using Planbook.com. It is really easy to use and I just learned that I can collaborate with my co-teacher and share lessons on it! Another cool feature is that it has the option of adding common core standards to your lesson....just click on the ones you want! Anyway, I love it and it's only $12/year!!

File Cabinet Make-over
Boring old file cabinet receives some much needed sprucing up! Some scrapbook paper and Mod Podge is all you need and no damage at all to the file cabinet. It peels right off if you need it to.
Write the Room
Do you guys do many "Write the Room" activities in your classroom? My class just loves them and once they've learned how to do it, I can easily change out the theme and they think it's a whole new game. (with little preparation on my part!) Here's a whole years worth of Write the Room printables! Check it out!

Teacher Table Skirt
So, I've been noticing all of these really cute teacher table skirts and decided it was time to make one. Well, my mom make one anyway;) We used the sew and stick Velcro stuff. She sewed it on to the fabric and the other side (sticky) went on the table. So far, so good.
What do you think about my touch point number posters I made? Sure is handy having them right in front, easily accessible for whole group time.
