Teacher Table Skirt

So, I've been noticing all of these really cute teacher table skirts and decided it was time to make one. Well, my mom make one anyway;) We used the sew and stick Velcro stuff. She sewed it on to the fabric and the other side (sticky) went on the table. So far, so good.

What do you think about my touch point number posters I made? Sure is handy having them right in front,easily accessible for whole group time.

September Homework Packet is ready for use! I thought it might be helpful to indicate on each night's work which common core standard it is addressing. This will help me determine if and where they need extra intervention.

New, New, New

This school year is all about new things.....new math and reading curriculum, new report card, new technology standards, new teacher evaluation system, new math and literacy assessments, implementing Daily 5 for the first time, and to top everything off.........the highest number of students I've ever had...29! I've already determined that if I can make it through this year, I can tackle anything!!!

Worked on my writing center board today. I spray painted pizza pans for the eyeballs and a plastic Venn diagram for the big blue circles.

Added my chevron ribbon and number labels to my baskets. I'm using these on their tables for community style supplies. Loved how they turned out and super easy! I just hot glued it all on and it stayed perfectly.

Phoneme Segmentation Game

These students love practicing their phoneme segmentation by choosing the correct number of flowers for each basket. I found these baskets in Dollar Tree's luau section. I cut up one of their posters for the pictures on the baskets. The colorful flowers were called "table scatter" and even the metal tin came from Dollar Tree. Everything fits nicely in the tin and can be stored for many years to come.
