Dr. Seuss Freebie

I just love Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Week! We've had so much fun these last two weeks. Today was "Horton Hears a Who" - watched the video and then did a "text talk". I've always taught vocabulary and used think alouds during stories but never actually formatted it like this before. This format was modeled by other Kindergarten teachers in our district, so I thought I'd give it a try.....my students really enjoyed it. (of course adding the sound files really helped) Fun!
